Corporate Philanthropy and Refugees

When corporations  – and employer partners – like Chipotle, Chobani Yoghurt and IKEA give their financial resources to solutions for refugees, it also boost public awareness.

Here are three recent articles that prove how far employer partnerships and job development efforts can go beyond job placement and retention.

All three of these employers hire refugees in partnership with refugee resettlement agencies.

Here’s another corporation – NBC – offering a total of $1.2 million to 30 local nonprofit organizations in 10 of the communities served by the NBCU Owned Television Stations: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Francisco Bay Area, Washington, D.C., Miami-Fort Lauderdale, San Diego and Connecticut.  Economic Empowerment is one of the areas of support.
